The National Press Club awards scholarships to minority high school students who plan to make journalisim a career. The Club also awards an annual scholarship to a journalism graduate student.

2007 Persina Scholarship Winners
The Ellen Masin Persina Scholarship is named after a late Press Club member who was an award-winning journalist and member of the NPC scholarship committee. The goal is to help recruit more minorities to the nation’s newsrooms by encouraging high school prospects. The NPC has given $200,000 since the scholarship’s inception in 1990. It is funded by the family and friends of Ellen Masin Persina, and by the NPC through such events as a 5K race held each fall in Washington, D.C. 2007 Feldman Scholarship Winner
The Feldman Fellowship is awarded every year by the National Press Club. It is named after the late Dennis Feldman, a long-time club member whose family established the fellowship in his honor.
